{"id":118,"date":"2020-08-21T14:21:40","date_gmt":"2020-08-21T14:21:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gardensatoldnatchez.com\/?p=118"},"modified":"2020-08-21T17:46:11","modified_gmt":"2020-08-21T17:46:11","slug":"118","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gardensatoldnatchez.com\/index.php\/2020\/08\/21\/118\/","title":{"rendered":"2019 Annual Meeting Minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>THE GARDENS AT OLD NATCHEZ PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Minutes of\u00a0 Annual Meeting of Members<\/p>\n<p>Held On\u00a0 February 19, 2019<\/p>\n<p>After determination of a quorum, the meeting was called to order.\u00a0 The first item for discussion was the election of the Board of Directors for the year 2019.\u00a0 After discussion and a vote, it was decided that Ethon Stanford and Buddy Barrett would serve as the Home Owner\u2019s Representatives on the Board for the next year.\u00a0 Glynn Taylor was appointed by Ed Karrels as the representative for Old Natchez Country Club.<\/p>\n<p>The financials were discussed and budget for next year was presented.\u00a0 A motion was made to approve the budget and \u00a0the motion carried.<\/p>\n<p>Continued complaints are trash cans and storage locations, golf carts, on street parking and speeding, \u201cdog poop\u201d, unsightly yards, \u00a0mailbox disrepair and yard signs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trash\/Trash Cans:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The covenants require you to keep your yard kept and trash cans hidden from view.\u00a0 Please do your best to promptly retrieve your trash can from the street after pick up and keep it out of sight of your neighbors<\/p>\n<p>Just a reminder of the following requirements for our new service provider:<\/p>\n<p>Trash should be in bags<\/p>\n<p>Recycle is every Friday.\u00a0 Boxes need to be broken down. Items (excluding Glass) do not need to be separated.\u00a0 Glass is only the first Friday of the Month and must be in a separate bag, regardless of whether it is in their large container.<\/p>\n<p>They come early, so get your trash out by 8:00 AM<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dog Barking and Dog Poop:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For those of you who leave your dogs outside, please take note we have had complaints from golfers and neighbors about constant We have a tremendous privilege in that we have lots of area to walk our dogs, please be courteous of your neighbors and the golfers and curb your dog.\u00a0 If you run with them and they are off leash, make sure you watch for them to \u201cgo\u201d, because they will.\u00a0 Don\u2019t ignore them or what they leave behind.\u00a0 We don\u2019t want to lose those privileges.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mailboxes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are asking that all members look at their mailboxes and evaluate their condition.\u00a0\u00a0 Many of them are\u00a0 broken, menacingly leaning, wobbly, loose or in general disrepair.\u00a0 In order to avoid a potential assessment, please give your mailbox a\u00a0 little TLC. The architectural review committee will be checking the mailboxes and if yours needs repair, they will let you know.\u00a0 If you do not give it the attention it needs, it will be fixed for you and you will be specially assessed.\u00a0 Lisa Strickland will forward the name of the person who fixed several of them last year in case you are interested.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Golf Carts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Discussion was had regarding the continued use of\u00a0 Golf Carts\u00a0 by young children.\u00a0 While we understand their desire to \u201cjoy ride\u201d around the neighborhood, please keep in mind these are public streets with\u00a0 a fair amount of traffic.\u00a0 Golf carts are not built to withstand a collision with an automobile and we do not want any of our children hurt.\u00a0 The board cannot do anything to stop this activity but strongly encourages limiting the driving of the golf carts to adults.\u00a0 In case you are unaware, if your child is injured on a cart being driven by another, there is a good chance your health insurance company will not cover the injury and you will be forced to sue the responsible party.\u00a0 A person many of us know found themselves in exactly this\u00a0 situation.\u00a0 It just takes one time to learn a valuable lesson.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On Street Parking\/Speeding<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>The need to monitor our driving speed was discussed as well as \u00a0\u201con street\u201d parking.\u00a0 Please keep in mind our streets were not made for either speed or excessive on-street parking.\u00a0 Please be conscious of your speed as you negotiate the streets in our neighborhood.\u00a0 This goes hand in hand with on street parking.\u00a0 If you have quests who will be staying for an extended period of time, please make arrangements with the club to have the extra vehicle(s) parked in that lot to avoid congestion and potential accidents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yard Signs<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>As spring approaches bring home projects and graduations we have adopted a policy for yard signs.\u00a0 With the exception of\u00a0 signs advertising homes for sale, all yard signs should be removed within\u00a0 Two (2) weeks.\u00a0 This includes political, school and religious signs.\u00a0 Failure to remove them will result in them being discarded by the Board.<\/p>\n<p>There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE GARDENS AT OLD NATCHEZ PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION Minutes of\u00a0 Annual Meeting of Members Held On\u00a0 February 19, 2019 After determination of a quorum, the meeting was called to order.\u00a0 The first item for discussion was the election of the Board of Directors for the year 2019.\u00a0 After discussion and a vote, it was decided [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-118","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.gardensatoldnatchez.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/118","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.gardensatoldnatchez.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.gardensatoldnatchez.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.gardensatoldnatchez.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.gardensatoldnatchez.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=118"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"http:\/\/www.gardensatoldnatchez.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/118\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":163,"href":"http:\/\/www.gardensatoldnatchez.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/118\/revisions\/163"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.gardensatoldnatchez.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=118"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.gardensatoldnatchez.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=118"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.gardensatoldnatchez.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=118"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
